The hit looked scary when it happened, and Robert Griffin III looked pretty dazed after his head bounced off the turf following a hit while Griffin slid. He returned briefly, but Baylor was forced to play the entire second half without its leader and Heisman contender. They answered, beating Texas Tech, 66-42, for the first time since 1995 and sending Texas Tech to its first losing season since 1992. It also ends Texas Tech’s streak of 11 consecutive trips to bowl games.
