Missouri’s road win at Oklahoma Monday night cannot be undersold. This was a huge moment for the Tigers as Missouri could have easily slipped after beating Kansas Saturday. “We played late Saturday night in an emotional game and then played early Monday,” Mizzou coach Frank Haith said after the game. “This team won one road game last season. We’re 4-2 on the road now.’’ Mizzou has three road games left this season: at Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Kansas.

NFL decisions have been made. Coaching staffs — the major moves, at least — have been settled. The league membership looks close to being settled. With all that stuff behind us, it’s time to update our Big 12 Power Rankings with spring football quickly approaching. I mentioned this in our last update, but I’ll reiterate just how wide open the Big 12 is going to be in 2012. That won’t change for a while. In 2011, the league only had three teams that could realistically win the Big 12: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

Metoyer signed with Oklahoma last year, but was forced to attend fall classes at Hargrave Military Academy after he was unable to qualify at OU. Metoyer was the No. 8 overall receiver in the country last year and the No. 51 prospect in the ESPNU 150. The Whitehouse, Texas, native finished with 259 career receptions in high school, second all-time in Texas high school history.
